We are planting specialists with a real passion for plants, and, in particular, plants that help to support nature and encourage wildlife in the garden. We believe that plants are the most important part of a garden, so we think that the planting should be at the heart of any good garden design. It is often the case that garden design is dictated by the overall layout and infrastructure, with the plants and planting schemes left as more of an afterthought. We think it should be the other way around, where the plants lead the way in creating a beautiful garden that is also doing its bit to help sustain nature.

We offer a complete planting service, from the initial consultation to the finished planted garden, along with aftercare should it be required. We will produce a planting plan that is tailored to your garden’s specific requirements and one that will deliver year-round interest while also being kind to the planet.

Over the years we have seen so many designs and schemes that are based on plants that are looking good at the time of planting, with little or no consideration of the longer-term view. As a result, the garden owner is often left quickly feeling disappointed and ends up having to partially or completely redo the planting; this means the project ends up costing far more than it was initially budgeted for or than it should. Our planting plans are carefully put together to ensure year-round interest, delivered through a scheme that will bring joy for many years to come. We are always on hand to give tips and advice to make sure the required plant care is carried out as necessary.

We also offer pruning services and all aspects of general garden advice, from planet friendly weed and pest control to plant dividing, seed collection/sowing and water harvesting.

The correct pruning of trees and shrubs is of vital importance and is something that is so often to the most exacting standards so that the plants perform at their absolute best. Incorrect pruning can result in plants not performing as they should and sometimes even causing them to fail altogether. We can advise on and carry out all types of pruning to shrubs and small trees, making sure that all your plants and trees flourish, while also ensuring that they are appropriate within their surroundings.

We strongly believe in producing carefully thought through planting schemes that, as well as being beautiful, also work with nature and help to support and encourage wildlife in our gardens. There are many plants that can encourage wildlife into the garden: from those that are best for pollinators, to those that are best for offering habitat and food for birds. These are the plants that we put at the heart of our schemes.
We also strongly believe in sustainable gardening. We will always seek to source our plants from nurseries that only use peat free compost and biodegradable pots, or pots that can be recycled.
